Cytoflow

January 2013 - March 2014

I helped design a flow cytometer as contract designer for medical start-up, Cytoflow. A flow cytometer is a device used to analyze cell samples using a laser-based optical system. I designed the internal optical layout and mounting system as well as the external case. The internal mounting system is used to support the optical components (lasers, mirrors, filters, lenses, and sensors) and is designed to be printed on a high resolution 3D-printer. The external casing is designed for sheet metal fabrication. The project is in prototyping phase.
